sea fan issue

I have had a massive sea fan I'm my reef for about 3 weeks now. It's tail is dug in good now but it doesn't come out and fan much anymore. Any ideas why.

The flow might be too much for the feather duster...?

Too much flow,improper acclimation,just didn't handle the move,still stressed from the move.

Flow hmmm . I do have a lot. Detris build up led to algae bloom. Flow does make since thou.

That's a feather duster -- a sea fan is a different animal. Does it get enough food? It's a filter feeder that needs dissolved foods to thrive.
