Okay I've been using the stuff for about 3 weeks and its pretty good. They claim the product:
"Restores and maintains the concentration of calcium, strontium and all trace elements at the same levels found in the sea, automatically. Formula #28 always works, and cannot be overdosed. This is not a slow-dissolve or time-release product. It dissolves only to replace depleted elements."
IF you test your chems every day to determine how much you will need and IF you put the right number of tablets in and IF you put new tablets in after the old have dissolved, then yes, Sea Lab #28 will work "automatically". I drop 3 tablets in once a week and do not have to dose calcium any other way. These tablets are not meant to raise alkalinity.
