Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these inverts? My LFS has a small red one and I would like to add it to my tank.

They are very similar to sponges in their requirements -- non photosynthetic filter feeders. Some are harder than others. They are also known as tunicates. I have a few different types in my tank. I like them a lot, and there are some really unique ones out there. Go for it!
