Sea Veggies

Well I finally got my &*(#** Tang to eat his veggies. Today I soaked them in garlic oil and gave them only the veggies, just like children. After about 15 min. the Tang started to peck and eat the veggies on the clip! These fish need the veggies right? I read somewhere they can get hole in the head if they don't get veggies. So I'm so glad he's eating them finally!!! :bounce:

Yep, you're right. The majority of the tang's diet should be vegetable matter. Glad yours is eating! Have you tried Emerald Entree frozen food? That's another good one for tangs.

Spirulina they get, that has algae in it I think, but he has never eaten the sea weed like today. Also, rotifers at night for the coral???

Seabee, have you tried any Nori yet? That is another great tang food.

Yep.Rotifers and cyclops are good for corals.Those I add after the lights are out for the night.

Yes they need plenty of vegetable matter since the are herbivores. There is no definite that your tang will get hole in the head but it will help to keep it from getting it with the vitamin C that is in vegatable matter like dried seaweed.
