FOODS AND FEEDING - Live foods, grass shrimp, fiddler crabs to induce a feeding response, then may accept shrimp, squid, marine fish flesh, crustaceans, scallops, all from a feeding stick. Feed 2-3 times a week to satiation.
AQUARIUM SUITABILITY - 4
REEF COMPATIBILITY - May eat ornamental crustaceans and small fishes.
CAPTIVE CARE - Open sandy bottom a must, can be kept with larger fishes and other eels, more than one can be kept in the same tank, must be the 1st eel introduced in a community tank, and the other tankmates only after the snake eel is feeding well.
