Shell-Less Snail

Hi All,

Is it possible to have a shell-less snail in your tank? I think I have a snail without a shell.

Also, I have a small whitish shrimp in my tank...less than half an inch long. What kind of shrimp is it??

There are several kinds of slugs that can show up.As well as snails that look like they dont have a shell.

The shrimp could be a mysis shrimp.They can hitch hike in to.

Nudibranches or sea slugs are basically snails without a shell.Stomatella snails are snails with a small oval shell.I'm not even sure what the whitish shrimps unless its a large amphipod.

It will be a guessing game without a pic.

So the snail I was talking about has started to grow a shell...so I am assuming it is a snail?!

Also,the shrimp like thing is just a large amphipod. I have smaller ones running around my tank that look just like him!
