Shep's 20 Gallon Reef

Finally got around to starting my new tank, trying to do this one by the book. It is a 20 gallon that I would like to do as a reef tank, this will be my first attempt at reef tank so I would love any tips and tricks that you guys have!

P.S On a side note, I am not the best photographer so the pictures might not always be the best qualityDimensions: 24x12.5x16

Filter: Fluval C2
Powerhead: 1 Hydor Koralia 4251x Gold Assessor (Assessor flavissimus)
1x Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica)
Couple of snails
Eletric Blue Hermit
Leather Toadstool Coral
Kryptonite and Green Tea Cup Colony Polyp Rock Zoanthus IM
Short tentacle plate coral
Ricordia

I used the reef saver dry rock from BRS and I could not be happier with the product. I asked for some cool pieces and they did an amazing job, plus it was only a little over $2/lbs. I might buy a nice piece of live rock from my LFS to seed everything else but I have had such bad luck with hitchhikers in the past I am a little hesitant to do so.

Looks like its finally finished the cycle. My levels are
Temp 75
pH 8
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 15
Salinity 1.024

yep, do a WC and get those nitrates down...love the reefbreeders, great product

Went ahead and did a 15% water change and got them down to around 5ppm.

It will relax in a few days and start swimming in the open when your around the are shy fish.
