should i put a deep sand bed in this small space?

this is the fuge part of my sump...
to the left (where u cant see i have the water flowing through like 10 lbs of live rock rubble.) what u see is the fuge...
to the right(where u cant really see is the return pump. and my heater)
in the fuge i have a 3 and a half inch sand bed.. and like 5 lbs of rock kinda stacked in the back. and my macroalgae shoved in a little opening...on the top right of the pic is a space where i used to keep my diy skimmer. i just got my coralife super skimmer and installed it as a hang on cuz it wouldnt fit in this space or anywhere else in my 10 gal sump...
so i was thinking about what i can do with this space...its like 7 inches deep. i was thinking about doing a deep sand bed... or should i just fill it with more rubble?
what do u guys think?

No. I would do more rubble. I would keep the sandbed in the fuge at an inch or less.

the only reason why i feel a little hesitant on putting rubble in there is cuz the way its sectioned off, i kind of feel like theres not alot of flow in that compartment.

i was also thinking about doing mineral mud to supplement what i already have....
3 inch sand bed in fuge and i already have like 75lbs of rock.

Just do more rubble, the mineral mud isnt worth it
