I've just started my reef tank and all I've got are Live Rock and Live sand with one Peppermint Shrimp.

He seems to be digging to make caves when the lights are off. I believe they are nocturnal. Anyways, I turned on the lights today and saw for two seconds something in the water in the cave. It looked like a colorless baby shrimp with huge antennas. I only got to see if for a two seconds, but I want to make sure it's a baby shrimp and not an unwanted guest.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!!!

You're right when you say that pep shrimp are nocturnal...the "babies" are more likely amphipods or copepods though.

It's a good thing but unlikely to be baby shrimp.
