Sick anemone

    Your lighting is very low. Even for low light corals. Anemones can be sustained in low light sometimes if they are fed but they tend to turn white. Adding a metal halide spot or pendant will help but not if the nem starts to move.

    nitrates should not be over 10 over that for a long time will stress them

    also can you get a pick of it (you said it was a yellowish white when you got it and most true carpet are tan/brown so it might be a haddoni know a lot of sites on the internet will list a haddoni as gigantea)
    and is the color fading more in the center and working it way to the out side.
