Hi.

I have used silicone (Loctate for aquariums) and it says cure time 24 hours.
Since i am using it for the sump partition part only, do i have to wait this to cure?
The silicone dry already (after 12 hours) and it has only a smell of it.

Thank you.

By the way.

I read online about the GE (General Electric) Silicone I and II, the one for windows and doors and the one for bath and kitchen.
The people says the I good and the II is bad.

Please read on the label, both of them says clearly "not for use with aquariums".

You actually need to wait 48 hours before adding water to let the chemicals that will cause problems to fully break down.

Also did you use the GE brand?

Yeah, I'd wait two days...if it was freshwater, then you could get away with just 24 hrs, but saltwater is more delicate...+1 lil fish.

Thanks, i will wait.

I didn't use the GE by the way. I read on the label "Not for use with aquariums".
I bought the Loctate one, it is for aquariums (100% clear silicone).
