Skimmer for 75g

getting ready to start up a new tank, I have a Reef octopus (BH-100) on my fifty and was wondering what one to put on the 75?(HOB). I was thinking about the BH-1000?

I have a 75g, but I use a sump. I dont think I can help you decide. Just fyi, this is my skimmer.

+1 on Reef Octopus. I have no experience with HOB, but Octopus is where it's at.

I have a Reef Octopus DBH300. I don't like the thing, didn't come with set up instructions or anything. I am going to attempt to pull it out and do a vinegar water cleaning on it to see if that makes it run right. But currently it only pulls out one half of the cup (if that even) every 3-4 weeks. It decides when it is going to actually put bubbles into the chamber and when it isn't. So far I hate the thing.

I think you will be happy going with the 2000...the 1000 would have cut it close on its capabilities...

well the 1000 combined with water changes would still be fairly proficient would it not. removing still a significant amount.
