skimmer not making foam??

So i have a Octo-100 HOB that i was using as a HOB for a while and then i set up a sump and set it in there and it worked fine for a while and then when i got my fuge running and full of cheato it kinda stopped making any skimmate.... i dont know why, im assuming that the algae is acting like a filter and not letting all that gunk get through to the pump?? my water parameters are still fine... 0 for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate but i dont know if theres anything that can cause a skimmer to stop making bubbles...

any ideas??

when my skimmer isnt making bubbles it means that its not getting enough air, so i take the pump off and clean it then make sure the air hose isnt clogged up and that usually make mine start making bubbles again. it probably due to lack of air flow

The air hoses can clog up with salt and calcium deposits. Make sure it is getting enough air. Also, since you moved it, you might have to adjust it to a new setting.

Yup, it was the air hose.. there was a tear in it underwater and it was just pulling in water. Thanks!
