I did it.... I took all my live rock out of the tank--- and brushed it off... keeping of course the live rock wet with a spray bottle and used a bucket of water from the tank to clean it in.... I have roughly 30lbs live rock -- my question to you is: now that my live rock is free of algae -- what will my emerald green crab (huge almost fully grown) and dragon goby fish eat? I don't want them to die. I did not clean the sand bed. I have a 44 gal pentagon corner tank. I have about 2.5 inches of live sand. In addition to the two fish mentioned I have a sergent major, blue green cromis, humbug, and 7 black snails 4 astria snails. All parameters fine. Been feeding Formula one flakes and mysis shrimp. I have had the tank since Dec 08.
