Small Cleaning Crew (check)

Reefing newb
So far my pea size nassarius snails are doing fine. My puffer took a few attempts to taste them but gave up. So i'm looking to get some more cleaning crew before i start getting more fish. What would you suggest next? Friend of mine has emerald crabs in her tank and they get along with her puffer, would those work?

Well looks like i'm gonna be taking my puffer back to the LFS if it eats my new inhabitants. I wish they would actually sell the right things to you when u explain to them the type of tank ur doing down the road.

Jkraft,

Never trust the LFS....they are SALES PEOPLE.
Until you get to know them personally and find out the true experience level, you should take their advice with a grain of salt.
Do the research on your own. Not only will you make the right decisions for YOU, but you will learn valuable information on this hobby.

Let me recommend some MUST HAVE books for you :

It's gonna be a task catching that puffer I know I had to do it two weeks ago. If you net them you run the risk of them inflating. As far as cleaning crew goes, everyone has an opinion on what is good and bad. You kind of just have to figure out what goes with the fish and other critters you have. Mexican turbo snails will take care of algae. Peppermint shrimp will eat all kinds of stuff including aiptasia anemones. The hermits and emeralds will pick at the rock. Nassarius snails will eat detritus and algae. There's all kinds of things that will help maintain your aquarium.
