snowflake clowns

so i was at my lfs today looking around and saw some tiny clown fish listed as true percs, i love clowns so i watched them for a bit and noticed that some have what look like hte snow flake patterns but they werent listed as such is there any way to see if they are true snowflake or designer clowns or does it just depend on the pattern.

The variety of clown totally depends on the pattern, not on its parents, however you increase the likelihood of getting the desired pattern when both parents display it
