so i have the ich

Coralreefer23

I AM a Reefer@
So I have three fish left and had four...one started with the ich and gave it to my cin clown. Which is the largest fish I have , I have two tanks. Yet one's levels are not safe for these living terms . So I am dunking these three guys in a five gallon bucket, started the water process with my own tank water . Which stated this is a quick setup must have so my levels dont sky , the bucket has a simple hang-on filter just supporting a simple stuffing filter. I am prescibing them Quick Cure, anyone know if this stuff is affective as anyother ? The five gallon is setup with a little light. Yes, I know I cant see the sides of the fish, all I care is that this system will be affective! The bucket has a heater and digital temp gauge to keep temp stable. I dosed two drops, not to make the water dosed up with this stuff. Should I really keep them in a five gallon bucket for four weeks? how often should I do water changes cause its a five gallon bucket and i really cant remeber how much water my filter puts out ha ha puts out...

Did you read the stickies at the top?

Those medications are only a temporary fix. The only way to cure your fish is to use copper or hyposalinity. Also, you'll need to leave your tank empty for eight weeks to allow the ich currently in your tank to die. Otherwise when you put your fish back in they'll just get infected with it again.

Yeah!Empty the whole thing rocks, sand , inverts, do i run the light still? what about water changes and filter and my chaeto will this be ok ?

Omg im low on salt and my wedding is in July?she is going to kill me, I only have a thirty gallon and the water isn't stable yet, what would u do for a fast idea ?

I would do nothing. Most fish can fight it off on their own if they have a good diet, good water quality and aren't stressed. If you do that, you will always have ich in your system. It will be something you have to just live with.

Just break off a small piece, drop some garlic, let it melt, and toss them in slowly. The problem w/ cyclopeeze is that it's easy to put too much. My fish love it though!

You really should take the time to read those links, especially the first one. It would have answered a few of the question you asked, and im sure it will answer a few more you will have.
