FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet with mostly vegetable fare, dried and frozen herbivores foods, marine algae, spirulina, pieces of zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce, sushi nori (dried seaweed no additives). Feed 3 times a day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Rarely bothers corals unless underfed, browses on filamentous microalgae and small flesh macroalgae. Feed 3 times a day.
CAPTIVE CARE - This fish is highly territorial, can be very aggressive and will quickly damage tankmates if it takes issue with them. Attacks parrot and trigger fish in the wild, caudal spines are venomous and pose as an effective weapon, has been known to kill its rivals in captivity, needs plenty of open swimming space.
