SPS Lighting / Flow

After moving out of state and giving my nano-reef to a friend, I'm "starting" (3 months so far) to plan a 55g SPS reef. I have the variable flow planned out, but wanted to do the lighting right the first time instead of upgrading down the line. Since I enjoy soldering and the electrical components of this project, I will be doing a DIY LED fixture. For SPS, what would everyone's recommendations be on LED's? Like which brand, which wattage, which K temperature, where to buy from, etc? I want to keep this as budget conscious as possible. My wife is giving me the go-ahead but a high price tag on a DIY is going to cause problems...

Sps is high end. I wouldn't cheap out on lights. If you want a build a kit, check out rapidled. They offer so many different colors to "trick" the eye.
