sps war?

can sps hurt eachother? i have green pocillipora next to my green bn and it appears my snail knocked them together, anyway on the spot where they touch on the birdnest its white and slimy and falling apart like its been stung... i didnt realize they were aggressive...?

Oh yeah! They can/will sting each other.

Yep, SPS of different types will usually hurt each other.

You may not realize it, but yeah, they can hurt each other pretty bad. Although I'm pretty sure acros are OK with each other, montis are OK with eachother, etc.

Yep, some of them can be nasty. I've had quite a few SPS sting each other on the frag racks.

man oh man, yes they do sting. And from what I've learned, Acros are tougher than stylos/pocis, which are tougher than BN's which are tougher than montis...

I've been stung bad by sps while diving. It lasts for a few hours. I guess that's what I deserve for carelessly touching my forehead on it while looking in holes. When I've had sps fall on each other and notice a branch start discoloring/dying I usually trim it off to keep it from spreading.
