stock light for supplement?

If I use the stock light that came with my tank ( cheap single fluorescent bulb) to supplement my existing light setup (2 ecoray60s) will it have any effect on my corals? I'm thinking about using a purple bulb to accent colors in my tank. Is it too weak to actually benefit my corals?

I dont see that it would effect much but even a little would be beneficial..

I wouldn't use it, seems like a waste if you have decent primary lighting.
