strange worm things....

    I just added new sand to my new 55 gallon aquarium and in the sand are some hair like worms that bury their selves. They are really small and i just want to know what they are and if the are harmfull.

    They sound like spaghetti worms. If so, they are harmless.

    Those are spaghetti worms. There's no need to try and get them out -- they won't hurt anything. Plus you wouldn't be able to get them out if you tried -- your sand is full of them.
