Sump and water changes

How often do you guys do a water change using a sump? Less, more or the same?

I often change the water through from the sump, when doing 25 gal changes. Then just pump it back up.

Really no one changes less?? I figured you could let it go until 2 weeks before a 10% water change.

I also have seen a lot of people are split on which tank they change especially depending on the sump size. Just wanted to get some direct feedback.

No, why would you need to change less? you change based on tank size, adding a sump doesn't make your tank any smaller.

I always changed out of my sump because that way I didn't mess with any of my fish or corals in the main tank, also it always created less of a mess doing it that way.

+1 BL1, yep I do 50 gallons a month that 25 gal water change is every 2 weeks. Unless I get lazy, & put it off then I have to do all 50 at once, which is a bigger pain to do.
