sump ????i dont know if its right

i made this sump ..or if you can call let a sump...its a 30g....with a plastic cabinet...i use a pvc pipe for the water to fall in to the sump..first level and i made some hoes and it falls to the second box with i put filters and i big bag of carbon and some bio balls..and then it falls in to the bottom of the tank were i have some more bio balls were i was thinking of assing some live rock..later...plz let me know if setup right or what do i change...and add..i took a water sample to my LFS and my levels were all at o..i have some pic..and i saving money for skimmer

I'm not personally a fan of bioballs as they require maintenance or can become nutrient traps which lead to nasty algae outbreaks. Live rock rubble is better IMO and can also serve as a nice home and breeding area for pods, providing a natural food source for your fishies.

in my main tank i do have alot of pods..and baby shrimp...but i really want to add some live rock..
