So looking into getting a tank, probably, hopefully in the future, and so I'm just wondering what lighting I should get.
If so it would be in the 75-100 range most likely 90ish

Anyone know the cost of an oceanic approx.?

Metal Halides- What ones, I know it's usually cheaper if you don't get supplementle light, but is it needed and will a 12 k look and work well?

I wanna be able to keep anything, the tank would probably be 48" I would also want it to be under $800, I want this to be feasible

also what size would you recommend and why

Any of the lighting you mention will work fine.If you want the shimmer than go with the MH.If you want the corals and fish to stand out than go with T5.Both will allow you to be unlimited.

An Oceanic will cost you more size for size over other companies-All-Glass,Perfecto and Top Fin.

90g. Ultimate $375(thats the reef ready version which is $100-150 more than AGA)
90g. Tech tank $620
Add $200-350 for the stand.

I agree with Freak about the lights. Don't know much about the tank, though, as I have never bought one new.
