Tanked! Help!

Hello Amanda :D (or anyone else that is chemically inclined).

I got a pH meter/EC meter from work that we weren't using anymore. Is there any way I can make the EC reading useful to my tank? I'm thinking there's got to be a way somehow to convert siemens/decisiemens into something I can use like salinity or TDS? Right?

Thanks!

He's got you covered. Sorry, didn't see this til now-- computer at home is busted. Great find tho biff-- nothing like free equipment! Don't forget to calibrate... and I'd check the electrodes for degradation too. Depending on brand an style, those may need replacing. :) Good luck

sweeeeet. I want one. Probes are probably fine for a while yet. It doesn't tell you if it's a calomel pH electrode or what, unfortunately, but oh well. If it calibrates and you keep it stored in buffer it'll be fine. :) At least now you have all the documentation for it though.
