testing used aquarium - salt showing up on outdide

I've had my new- to- me 29 Bio cube running where I'm going to set it up with tap water as a test. No leaks, no water loss - but soft moist salt ( easy to wipe off with just my finger) wicking up from the bottom plastic. The spot is about 1/4 x 1/4".

Any call for concern - I saw it up and running before purchase.

You can put aquarium glue on the inside to seal it.

My tank had that issue, but it has seemed to quit. Might be salt creep? I just wipe it off about once a week

Grozier - thanks, I tried to search it but couldn't remember the word creep - "salt migration" didn't turn up any usable results.
