What light do i need???
At the moment i have a 18" 15W Built in hood light i cant really find any bulbs that would fit, or dont know. But this is a picture of mine at the moment:

But i really want to be rid of this and get something new and inexpensive. I have a 55 Gal Tank 60cm Long x 29cm width. Any ideas????

It depends on what you want to keep. That light will not support any corals unfortunately.
Can you dump the hood or do you have to keep it? You may have to retro fit it with DIY lighting.
You should shoot for at least 4-5 watts per gallon.

I really could lose the hood, it kinda annoys me, ruining the look of the tank. I would need 200W bulb, but the difficult part is finding the lamp, or stand that would hold and power the bulb, DIY??? I might but it would be a very bad one!!!
But i was looking at bulbs and they look so small, compared to my tube, what is it with them????
