so im sitting here thinking to myself what kind of sand to put into my new 55 gal reef tank . I live about 30 mins from the ocean lol why cant I get sand from there . Can you do this I have never heard of anyone doing this

yes, you dont need to get aragonite sand but any aquarium sand will work

I agree with everyone. Sand really shouldnt be taken, unless its from way off shore. Too much chemicals, ect.
