My sister's mastiff is 205 and fatter than hell. It gets winded from just sitting up.

Okay, these guys aren't my "pets", but I love them anyways!! There's a colony of feral cats that lives behind my office. They breed like crazy and get hit by cars, and crap in my office's shed, and mess stuff up, and nobody really likes having them around. So a month ago I started trapping them, spaying and neutering them at a low-cost clinic, and releasing them. So far, I've spayed 3 females and neutered 1 male. A week and a half ago I trapped these two 8-week old kittens. They were WILD and MEAN at first, but I've been handling them a lot and getting them used to people. They have become the sweetest, most well-adjusted kittens you can imagine. They will make wonderful pets for someone!

So NDB and I are "fostering" these two guys until we can find a permanent home for them (we'd keep them, but we already have 4 cats and 2 dogs). So far, no takers, and we've been trying really hard to get them placed :( One of NDB's coworkers said she might take them, but she will be out of town until early January. Until then, they are living with us and loving it. They were pretty skinny and unhealthy when I found them, and they have put on SO MUCH WEIGHT in just the short time I've had them.

There is one other kitten from the same litter. But so far he has been too smart for my trap :( I'll get him eventually. I want to find homes for all the kittens while they are still adoptable and can be trained to be friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any hope for any of the adults to ever be comfortable around people, so I'm doing the best I can :(

Good job Biff! I would take one so my cat would have a friend but i dont think i can handle owning two cats. My apartment already has that cat smell which i dont notice but other people do which i dont like at all.

But they are really cute cats. I'm really happy that you take responsibility & initiative.

Thanks! Every time I catch one, I take a picture of it, and give it a name related to what we do at my work. Once I get 12, I'm going to turn them into a TerraStrays calendar.

There is Biff's man hands again. That is a very nice a responsible thing you are doing. I wish there were more caring people. Most of my coworkers would just kill them.

That ain't nothing...meet my 131 lb. Chocolate Lab Buxton.

Here is when he was a pup...

    My wife loves this pic...

Here he is at 6 mos. old. They grow like weeds. I could actually see it from day to day.

And here he is few weeks ago. Still thinks he is a lap dog.

He could stand to lose a few, I know, but so could I...

And here is the Cat. She was named Jasmine when we got her, but we just call her cat or kitty. She's a real bitch and that's what makes her great.

That's all for now. We have 2 freshwater fish (Jack Dempseys) and a Pleco about the size of Doc's shark, but who want's to see that.

My vet told me 101 lbs is a good weight for her at her age. She was up to about 115 a few years ago and he told me she needed to lose some weight. He was happy with what she's at now. All the long walks I take her on payed off. :)
