Look at the clean up crew that Tampa Bay Aquarium suggests per tank size.
A 100 gallon tank needs 100 blue leg hermit crabs??? Holy schmokes! :shock:
If that's true, no wonder I have algae... I have like.... 5 in my 46 gallon. :lol:

Anyone have near that many crabs and stuff that TBS recommends?

Do you have any turbo snails?

A few. Plus some nassarius, a few peps, a cleaner shrimp and 2-3 emerald crabs. Oh and some cerith snails and probably a few others.

I have 12 turbos, 12 hermits (some blue legged and some scarlet), 2 pepps and some nassarius snails in my 29. You should bump up your CUC DENNIS!

A lot of sites seem to recommend 1 snail or crab per gallon. This may work for some tanks, but I think in most tanks, at least half of those animals are going to starve to death very quickly.

I have probably 60 in my large tank, but they are tiny ones, about 1/4" long. I also regularly feed too.
