I bought it and it broke as soon as I plugged it in, then I got it fixed. I sold it on ebay for 100 dollars and the guy just sent me a message telling me it's a 175 watt not a 250watt. So I might lose even more money to pay for shipping to get it back. The guy who sold me this light is a piece of sh!t.

Did you buy it on Ebay? Did the guy have good ratings? If not, that might be the problem...not to say high rated sellers won't screw you over. It's always a risk, but I've never had problems buying from top-rated sellers. I always read their bad reviews to see if they resolve the problems w/ their shipping.

I bought it from a guy on craigslist. How am I supposed to know it was a 175 watt? I am gonna do what it takes to resolve this, but it seems like I'm gonna lose money.

    You're fine project5k.

He's lucky I'm not a con man, he already paid and left positive feedback before he got it. I could not do anything about it, but I know how it is to be screwed out of money, plus I have a soul. haha

When you buy off craigslist, it's always risky. I bought what the guy said was a 75g tank for $20. Too good to be true....first of all, when we got it home, I measured it, turns out it was just a 45g. Then, discovered it has a small leak. I gave it away free on craigslist, but made sure people knew it has a leak. Someone picked it up for their reptile. Oh well. Live and learn.

No worries ... It is lessons learned. It sucks, but your smarter for it. I could have saved hundreds if I knew better when I first started in this hobby.
