Ringling Bros. made me really sad last time we went to see it.

I generally delete, but I have a folder of conversations I'd like to remember/stuff I need to keep.

I haven't seen a Ringling Bros circus since I was probably 13 or 14. So its been a while, and nostalgia goggles might be clouding my vision.

You're a veterinarian and a person drops off their cat for a flea bath and (inadvertantly) signs some paperwork allowing the cat to be put down. The cat is otherwise healthy. Do you put the cat down or call and talk to the person to confirm?

[This is a current story here on the news, the vet board just cleared the vet of wrong doing, and I'm having a very hard time wrapping my head around how a vet could just put down a healthy cat whose owner wasn't even present without thinking twice about it. The cat was dropped off by the owner's son who just signed whatever forms were put in front of him]

 

I would call first, at least if they wanted the cat put down I wouldnt have to give him / her a flea bath. That sounds mean but yeah why bother de flea-ing if your gonna kill them? Unless the flea bath wasnt mentioned of course.

Take a picture of someone on the track as a subway comes, or try like hell to save them.

Oh and I totally would have picked Cirque du Soleil. The Ringlings need new acts or something. Even my kids get bored about 15 min in. I saw the Cirque du Soleil Ovo -- AWESOME! Despite the lack of smelly animals
