Reefing newb
Was wondering what ur thoughts on the odyssea 20" T5 72 watt light fixture for a 10-20 gallon saltwater reef tank.. I heard mixed reviews on it.. Was wondering if u guys can give me ur input on it.. Its $49.99 w/free shipping at aquatraders.com.

Thanks
jeff

What size is your tank exactly? But i would say you would be ok with most things, SPS will have to be high up.
And i have an Odyssea light, not too bad, had to replace ballast and MH bulb, but all good.

I was thinking of starting a 10 gallon nano tank... i heard the ballast wasnt the best but what kind of ballast did u change it to and what kind of bulbs did u get?

thanks
jeff

Well i only replaced the Metal Halide light in mine, and you dont have one in that, but overall, your getting 7.2Watts per gallon which is good. And the new ballast is a Ice Cap ballast, on reccomendation from a friend.

they dont throw a ton of light i had one over a 20 gallon and it is ok but not the best..I would reccomend that you change the bulbs out right away it does help alot..
