Reefing newb
I see on liveaqruaria.com's web site that under the compatability chart it says sharks are reef compatable. When you click on there links to actually buy a shark they all say they are not reef safe. Any idea what is correct?

i would day no for most sharks, reef safe means they will not eat most inverts. i cant believe that a shark is totally reef safe.

They wont eat your coral, but most inverts will be lunch.

But you are going to need HUGE tank to properly house any shark with tons of open sand bed for them to properly move around. Having a shark is a huge commitment and almost no one can properly care for them.

a 180 gallon is big, but its not near big enough for a shark, especially with all the rock necessary for a reef tank. Reef safe generally means the creature won't eat coral, but that doesn't mean that inverts and fish are safe...
