Today is the 40th anaversary of a man walking on the moon

Just thought i'd mention it, if you were interested, and or cared... i cant believe google dosent have a special logo for today, cause they had one for nicola tesla's birthday...

 

it was a great day in history. we should get back there soon.

 

anyone who has wacthed the history channel knows that I beleive 1 in 5 americans think it was a hoax!!!!!

I am not one of them. Unfortunatly, there must not have been enough recources or information to gather there to keep going back. I think they are trying to get a manned mission to mars.

mars would be a better use of money although i wouldnt mind seeing a return mission to the moon

 

mythbusters had a thing about landing on the moon and they proved that those picutres infact all have one light source. it was a very intresting show

 

that was a pretty good episode

 

missed that one but I know that the pics where the cross hairs appear to be behind objects can be shown because bright white can wash out some small dark object. But no matter what you do to prove somethings, there will be people who wont accept your proof. And that goes both ways.

in that show it showed that from one light source that the dirt is very reflective and can light up a person standing behind something like when they were climbing the ladder and the suit was all lit up but everything else on that side was dark. that is one reason that we see the moon so well is because it is so reflective

Ok so all that the mythbusters prooved was that the moon landing COULD be hoaxed. Until the last one that prooved that man has been there and placed reflectors on the moon. TAKE THAT!!!!

I believe it was a hoax. Part of the Cold War with Russia. Political manipulation to gain the upper hand against a perceived threat.

 

then explain how we put reflectors on the surface

 

I also beleive that the country that won the race to the moon would have gotten a psycological win in the cold war. However, please explain the reflectors on the moon. I will give you than 99% of the other stuff could have been faked but the reflectors are a different story.

Dustin the reflectors were placed there be aliens. That's the only logical solution to the question. :mrgreen:

 

I can't explain it. I just smell a rat. I think it's a hoax.

Just like I think our government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks to begin the destruction of our economy and therefore the destruction of the middle class. Can I PROVE it? No.
