Trying to determine what lights i need

On my new 150 gallon aquarium i have 4 t5 light bulbs in it. I was wanting to upgrade the lighting. The aquarium is 36in square. I have been looking at 36 inch metal halide. Would this be appropriate for that size aquarium or should i go another route. Any help would be greatly appreciated

For big tanks like that, it is usually better to go with the metal halide lights because they have better penetration and t5 lighting get super expensive once you go past 4 ft
