Tube anemone

anyone ever had one of these guys? do clowns host them? and i hear they arent photosynthetic. is that true?

They are non-photosynthetic, so they are one of the few anemones that you can keep with low light. Clowns will not host them, though. And tube anemones eat fish -- they are excellent hunters. Not fish safe.

I HAD two of those for a short time. They kept getting bigger and bigger and were like giant Aiptasia. I got rid of them. They stung everything almost a foot around them.
