tube like creature

i have a couple of small tubelike creatures affixed to my LR(less than 5 mm)--when feeding my tank they emit a long clear hairlike thread that seems to "catch" tiny bits of food--any idea what they are??--will try to take pics and post

If it is, they are feather duster worms. Cool little creatures actually! They are perfectly normal, won't hurt your fish. They will come and go. hope that helps!

Pics would definately help. But from the description I would guess vermetid snails

I would also say vermetid snails. they are harmless except when the thread covers corals then it can suffocate them.. peppermint shrimp are known to help control them if they get bad on you..

If its not those snails I have spaghetti worms that do that also so that might be another option to look at
