they look like colonial hydroids get rid of them!

They look an awful lot like some sort of clove polyp to me. Are they individuals, or is there any sort of vining or meshing running between them?

they didnt look connected so i kind of ruled out cloves, but you cant see well enough from the picture to tell

I can't tell if they are connected. They seem to be growing like a soft coral. Not spreading, just growing. Also, they retract kind of like tubipora at night or when disturbed. I had a piece of tubipora that died over a year ago. Maybe some survived and lay dormant all this time. Oh well, I guess once they get larger, identification will be easier.
