Reefing newb
hello everyone I an upgrading to 130 from a 90 gallon tank and need some help.
1. what filter system should I buy for this tank?
2. and what led lighting is the best?
Also were can I buy the stuff for cheap I am in Canada?
thank you so much everyone.

I am not sure what else I would need if you can think of anything please let me know.
I have protein skimmer, wave maker, and I will be using a over flow boxes because the tank can not be drilled it is tempered glass :(

hi ncozac
how much you want to spend on the lights is the question
the best are very expensive
you could set a refugium up in the sump or run a scrubber in there
or just the skimmer and a phos reactor
with plenty of live rock sand in the dt would be good :)

hi
I have twin giesmann t5s on mine and think there great
theres loads to choose from led wise
how long will the new tank be ??

cool :)
great size
think you will be better using 2-3 small leds units then
on a light rail
quiet a few here are giving good reviews on some Chinese led units
have you looked into any of those ??
or you want radion ,maxspect ,deltec ,giesmann
whats the price you want to spend ncozac

1. what filter system should I buy for this tank?

- 130g you really should have a sump with a filter sock, skimmer refugium setup.

2. and what led lighting is the best?

- depends a bit on what kind of livestock you have
- if you have corals that need a lot of light (sps), anemones, clams - probably need a pretty good led with a fair bit of intensity.
- Aqua Illumination (AI), Vertex, Ecotech, Kessil all make pretty good systems. the current trend and thinking is leds with T5 supplementation is the best for coverage, spectrum (I have a 6x54 T5 with 3 Kessils).but that's not a cheap setup.

Also were can I buy the stuff for cheap I am in Canada?

- try the mail order places - jlaquatics,, petsandponds.ca, reefsuplies.ca , goreef.ca

usually only the bottom pane is tempered glass - I would strongly recommend a drilled setup.
