Urchins Question

Mine moves mostly at night. When I first got him, he parked it in the upper corner of the tank for about 3 days. Then he got more adventurous and hasn't really stopped moving since.

I have had problems keeping turbo snails alive. They last about two months at the most. My other snails do fine. Would I be better off getting an urchin to clean the rocks instead of trying turbos?:grumble:

But I think so.An urchin will do the job of 20 of those stinkin turbo snails.

my urchin sat in one area on the glass for 2 days when I first put him in. But.... then, the algae there was probably a quarter centimeter thick so I think he was just eating. :)

are they moving around more?

They did move around more -- to the back of the tank -- where the dinos were.

I haven't seen either urchin in a couple days, not since I started the blackout on my tank for the dinos.

Tuxedo's are nice but shortspines are like $7 most places, 2 of those can make quick work of 30 - 40 gallons worth of rock.
