Mine will munch on seaweed strips when I put them in there but he mostly just eats whatever he can find

Some species will eat sessile invertebrates like feather dusters, coco worms or clams. They also eat other little critters they might find in the sand bed and around the rocks.

yep! at least i have never heard of them munching on anything but algae.

where do yu buy the seaweed strips my LFS doesnt carry them, and god forbid a geocery store stock them

Your lfs should have dried seaweed. Its very important for many fish to eat the seaweed. But if your lfs truly doesnt carry it, then you can actually get dried seaweed in many grocery stores in the asian food section. Just get the unseasoned variety.
