Using primer with tap water

I did use tap water for my tank but I did use primer is this ok? Or should I do a 20% water change before I add my fish?Or should I just get my water tested then do water change if necessary?

If not,let it cycle before you do a water change.If your cycle is done,then just start your regular water changes using either RO/DI or distilled water.

I think you may mean a product called "Prime". if that is true, just wait out your entire cycle and only use RO water from now on to do water changes. wait to do a water change before you get your first fish, but that won't be for another 3-4 weeks is my guess
