velvet nudi

Reefgyrl

Reefing newb
Everyone cross your fingers. I just got my velvet nudi a couple of hours ago. I am slowly acclimating him so I hope he will make it and finish off my flatworms!!

Are nudibranches reef safe? Saw some cool lettuce nudi's today but I thought they were coral destroyers?

Some are safe. Lettuce leaf nudis are reef safe, as they only feed on bryopsis algae. But most nudis rarely live longer than a few weeks in our tank, lettuce nudis included.

He alive! I thought he was dead in the bag put after I let him loose he started moving on the sand!! He is sooo cute, my girlfriend is mad at me for getting him because I told her he wouldn't last long! I will post some pics tomorrow.

Here is the little bugger on the glass

That sucks to hear, I'm sorry. Nudis in general do not have good survival rates in captivity. It's too bad because they are such beautiful animals.

yeah I am bummed. He was really sucking up the flatworms. I knew he woudn't live long, but was hoping he would last more than 2 days!
