water went cloudy

After my first water change on monday the water went cloudy. The LFS tested my water that day and said the PH was low and suggested I purchase a buffer and add a teaspoon. I also get my water from the LFS for my change. When I took out 5 gallons and added 5 back then I added the buffer. Since then the water has been cloudy... Should I just be patient or should I do something? I went yesterday back to the store and tested the water again and they said my alkalinity was high, maybe due to over buffering:frustrat: I told them on monday they told me to add the buffer and now this. I will start testing my own water for now on but need to know how to decrease ALK if to high? It was 13 on their test and 11 on my home test kit.

Do a water change, but this time, dont dose anything. Then give up the actual readings on the test and we can get you sorted out.

Do a 25% water change with new water, no buffer added. :) Don't worry too much, it's not dangerously high, and cloudy water from that won't hurt anything.
