What would happen if I put my T8 light from the saltwater tank on my freshwater tank ?

Would it help with plants ? I had a bunch of plants in there. They seem to grow slow. Plus, the fish eating them don't help. Was wondering if they would help them grow better.

If you want plant growth, switch to a bulb in the 6500K ---- 3500K spectrum.

It would be a good use of the fixture, and with the right bulbs your plant will grow like crazy!

Ok, thanks, I'll still use the T8 for the freshwater. The light that I have is a lot duller than the T8.

Like the guys above mentioned; you want to use something like this:
Grow Bulb T8 Fluorescent: Express Light Bulbs
Should be able to get it at your local hardware store or LFS

I put that T8 on the freshwater, it was more dull than the light that was in there. So, I just left the light in there that came with it. That T8 was like a blue color.
