My wet dry filter stopped working today when I added live sand into my aquarium. I took it down and cleaned all sand deposits and still nothing. The tank doesn't have any inhabitants yet, its just cycling by the way.
What can be wrong with it? How do you repair it?

How is your wet dry filter fed? Did you just pour thesand into the tank or did you place the opn bag on the bottom of the tank and slowly let the sand flow out. It is quite possible that the inlet to your pump is full of sand or even the pump impeller chamber itself.
