Over the last several weeks I have noted what I thought were brown/green leaves or algae. They are very small and rounded like leaves. Once I looked closer, they appear to be small worms. They resemble flat tape worms and move slowly. They are just spreading across the live rock. Can anybody help me identify these guys and are they harmful? And if they are baddies, what can I do to remove them. Thanks so much

The description sounds like flat worms, if they look kind of like this, then thats what they are and can be bad for your tank. They can smother corals of light, and they also release toxins when they die.

They can be almost any color.

Get some Flatworm eXit by salifert, follow the directions exactly and you should be on your way of ridding your tank of the pests
