I live in Virginia near Washington DC and I have traveled all over this country. Its to the point where I can more easily name the states I have not been too. BUT you just can't find great Italian food outside the New York area.

This was my lunch after Remicade. There is more to it but I only got out a little to eat. It consists of Pita bread, lamb, onions, pepper, rice, carrots, zucchini and I think egg plant.

Yes. We had a frank "Come to Jesus" talk last night. He has gained over 50 lbs since his surgery 15 months ago. I asked him when it was going to stop or is he just going to keep letting the weight go up. How much worse does it have to get until he does something about it? Does he have to reach 260 lbs? 300 lbs? It needs to stop now. He has always acted like it was out of his control. I told him he needs to stop blaming everything around him and take control and responsibility for himself.

Since he gained the weight, he doesn't like the way he looks and is depressed. He has started snoring so badly that it wakes me up constantly throughout the night (he never used to snore). None of his clothes fit him. He hasn't been exercising. And it is definitely NOT a sexy look on him. I have been telling him that he has gained too much weight all along, and he has always denied it, saying he hasn't gained anything. DUH. Last night was the first time he has admitted that he has gained a lot of weight, and admitted that he needs to do something about it.

Buy him a treadmill for Christmas. Then motivate him somehow to use it. Best to get a hold on it while he is still young enough. It gets harder and harder every year. I have gained 75 lbs in the last 10 years. :sniffles: Recently got a new treadmill.......

I have an elliptical. For years, it sat unused in the guest bedroom. Last month, I was taking it out to the storage shed and he caught me. He told me to put it back in the living room where he can watch TV from it. I said, "Are you really going to use this if I move it to the living room?" and he said yes. It has sat, in the living room, for the past month, completely unused.

Any ideas on how to motivate him??

75 lbs in 10 years is not too bad -- and it's definitely reversible for you! He's gained 50 lbs in a little over 1 year. That's terrible. His metabolism finally caught up to his age. He used to be able to stay skinny no matter what he ate. He's 35 now. His body is changing, whether he likes it or not!
